‘I am an artist who walks, not a walker who makes art’ - Hamish Fulton
Walking is the starting point of my practice. From this I draw, paint, write and film the landscapes and people I encounter. In 2017 I created work in Montrose and Leith, routes I drew on maps and which I repeatedly explored. The landscapes I walk although the same each time are altered by people, traffic, weather and of course my own feelings. The work I make reflect these transitions, crossing borders and fixing memories which, by their nature remain uncertain, flawed.
